Hotel 5 Terre - Monterosso al Mare

Consider asking for a room away from the main walkway to reduce noise from footsteps and conversations.

The hotel is spotless, has views of the hills.

The hotel is well-placed in Monterosso. Rooms are clean and comfortable, though a bit small. The noise from the upstairs unit was distracting at times, but the friendly staff and acceptable breakfast helped make the stay enjoyable.

I enjoyed the hospitality . The staff allowed me to keep my luggage in my room and even offered a chance to shower before leaving. It. The cozy atmosphere and easy access to the beach were really appreciated. Being from New York, I liked the rustic charm of the place.

One half block from the beach, seaside shops and restaurants. On a small side street with not much traffic. There is an outside patio and parking nearby. Breakfast was standard fare.

Would have preferred a coffee pot in the room but seems not the way for most of Italy. We had a small problem with check in that was handled very professionaly by one of the staff (possible family) however another (possibly owner) seemed to have a problem with everything and everyone! He is proud of his fishing though!

Hotel was quite conveniently located n easy to find given the Ciqueterre terrain if one does not mind walking quite a bit to the town centre n the train and boat stations. The hotel manageress was friendly n very helpful- recommended us two pretty good restaurants in Monterroso

It was old n quite tired looking. We booked 2 air conditioned rooms but were given un-airconed ones. Fortunately we were out all day and it was cool enough in the night although we had to sleep with our windows slightly open. Our room was also noisy- street noise (cars n people). "Sea view " by this hotel is merely thru a gap between the buildings in front of the hotel

We had such a great stay! The rattan furniture by the fountain was so charming, and I loved the spacious room that opened to a lovely outdoor terrace. The breakfast spread was impressive, and I couldn't get enough of those fresh pastries! I'd definitely visit again.

The hotel was near the beach but out of the way of the noise and traffic. The room was clean and neatly decorated. The window opened on to the balcony that overlooked the garden below. The breakfast was adequate and tasty. You could get connectivity for your electronics in the lobby of the hotel.

Compared to the other places we stayed, the staff was OK and accommodating but not overly friendly. We also did not care for all of the smoking that occured onthe premise.....but that seems to be typical of Italy.

I loved that the hotel was less than a 5-minute walk from the beach and just a short stroll away from charming landmarks like the Church of San Giovanni Battista, made my city explorations so enjoyable. Plus, the staff was super friendly and provided great local tips.

Excellent location, friendly staff, very comfortable common parts to the hotel, nice courtyard outside with tables and a fountain, good (if small) shower, and very clean room and bathroom. Would recommend it thoroughly.

Beds were a little basic and tiny pillows.
